The lies that not even the truth can outpace
Anti-Russian lies persist, cast by establishment Democrats and their media supporters around the world. Nothing emphasizes their contempt for ordinary people quite like this obsession.
IN 2016, BUSINESS DAY received a response from the press attache at the Russian Embassy, Alexander Kulyaev, admonishing me for ‘gossip’. The week previously I had written of the Alexander Litvinenko poisoning case featuring places that just so happened to be on the route I walked to work in London. I concluded that South Africa’s (then) prospective nuclear deal with murderous psychopaths was il-advised. That wasn’t entirely fair - and Business Day, who would go onto publish fake news letters from one-armed-pedophile-defending wankers - was correct to record the objection.
(The following week Tony Leon and I met in Cape Town to compare notes on our respective bollockings - he had published a column favorable to the exiled hedge fund boss Bill Browder to which Kulyaev had also taken exception. We agreed that the young Russian was the best value-for-money diplomatic hire around).
Five years later and the sight of George Stephanopoulos running PR for the Biden administration vindicates the shift I’ve since taken in Russian villain skepticism. Whilst not entirely comfortable with some of my fellow travelers here, the truth - despite the best efforts of the appalling Rachel Maddow and the Madame Tussaud’s number Nancy Pelosi and dirty cop James Comey and an actual murderous psychopath John Brennan and the Clinton assassination depo and the pencil-necked Adam Schiff and dumbass CCP asset Eric Swalwell and the Cuomo molestation zoo to name a few - is becoming harder to violate.
In the UK, the people most likely to entertain the litany of anti-Russia lies align themselves to increasingly strange and authoritarian Liberal Democrat-type logic. From experience here I have compiled five responses to anti-Russia propaganda whose foundations of indisputable facts invariably contain examples of just how corrupt legacy media is, and their role in unleashing this poison.
1. Christopher Steele, whose ‘report’ initiated the campaign against Donald Trump, is a liar - and you don’t even need to explore allegations like one claiming he was a central point of discussion at a dinner one night at the house of Bruce and Nelly Ohr where disgraced former UK Director of Public Prosecutions Alison Saunders was a guest. Steele, a former Mi6 agent who was a prominent socialist at Cambridge University, produced a demonstrably false report inked in pig shit - end of;
2. Much to the disgust of the aforementioned cast members, the Mueller Report ended in a conclusive ‘no collusion’ finding;
3. Anthony Scaramucci, the shortest-serving White House comms director in history, successfully managed to get three staffers from CNN fired for publishing bullshit about him and Russia. It is a great story Scaramucci told me in London last year (his problem is that he hates Donald Trump because Trump insulted his wife, and he makes poor political decisions re: Michael Bloomberg and this whopper). But this incident reveals the breathtaking willingness to milk the lie;
4. The great lie of Russia Trump collusion was designed to leverage mutualism with another lie - that of Russian interference in the Brexit referendum. The chief peddler here, Observer reporter Carole Cadwalladr, was awarded an Orwell Prize in 2018. Last year when she admitted to a court she lied I wrote to the foundation:
I actually did get a reply (basically saying ‘ja, well, fuck off peasant’). Problem is you see, I deleted it because I started vomiting uncontrollably when the girl who responded put “she/her” at the end of her corporate signature (for more information on the case of the other Orwell prizing winning liar Johann Hari, visit this).
5. All Russia lies collapse. By weight of expectation or lunatic fantasy or vestigial traces of honesty that survive in today’s newsrooms, each one implodes. One of the greatest involves a fraud called Ben Jacobs who works for the Guardian. Jacobs composed an appalling article on Julian Assange in December 2016 that was brazenly dishonest. The Guardian amended the two fundamental claims of the article on the 29th of December, five days after it had been shared relentlessly.
Unlike Swalwell and Schiff’s theories that survive on a combination of contrived liberal outrage and supposition, each of these five points is supported by real, documented events.
So when Joe Biden announced that he thought Vladimir Putin was a killer, it was a conscious extension of this campaign against Russia, either to disguise his relationship with China, or to ensure the gossip remains alive enough to impede another Trump campaign in 2024. You can be disgusted with the poisoning of Sergei Skripal, you can cautious of the ANC’s nuclear arrangements, you can remain suspicious of Putin’s inner circle and the strategies deployed by Vladislav Surkov - and at the same time, you can acknowledge that 99% of what Joe Biden, his administration and his media supporters fetishize about Russia is asymmetrical bullshit.
